AMC announced today that the season is set to get another six episodes, just like the first, where Norman will discover the open road and meet incredible people along the way; all while riding his motorcycle. The first season of Ride with Norman Reedus took Norman along the Pacific Coast Highway, to Dante’s View, and even to The Keys with one of his own idols, Peter Fonda.  It wasn’t just a show for the viewers, that was clear early on, Norman was truly fascinated by the places he got to visit, the way he was able to travel, and all the little things along the way.  It was just as exciting for him to be on the journey as it was for those of us who watched it, and at the end of the season; everyone felt like they’d learned about more than just motorcycles.

Norman, who said that he was in no means a ‘gearhead’, did take advantage of all the people he met along the way and was grateful to gain a little bit of knowledge for each of them.  The unscripted show gave both Norman and his guests the freedom to use their time together to learn from one another; from bikes to local culture, they covered it all.

His love for motorcycles is no big secret.  In fact, Norman’s Instagram is full of photos on the bike, both with friends and alone, enjoying the open road.  There is even a photo on his account where he face-timed Jeffrey Dean Morgan while they were enjoying their bikes one day; he loves being

The show is narrated by Norman so fans get a bit of a personal experience alongside him, noticing the things he paid most attention to and hearing about the parts of the ride that were most exciting to him.

Norman said this about season 2 while speaking to Variety.

“The reaction to ‘Ride’ has been incredibly positive. I am glad to be able to show audiences a different side of me and we have gotten a great response to the candid conversation and the fact that it’s obviously not scripted.  I feel like we are just getting started and there are so many amazing places we have yet to go – the opportunities for the show are endless.”

The horizon certainly does hold an endless amount of possibilities for what comes next for Ride with Norman Reedus next and it’s clear that he’s got no desire to slow down soon.
