‘Star Wars: Rogue One’: Has Replaced Their Composer

News came today, exclusively from Hollywood Reporter, that the Rogue one movie is getting a new composer.

Originally, it was meant to be Alexandre Desplat (see first picture in the gallery below), but then the reshoots happened and they changed it up. Alexandre Desplat is making room for Michael Giacchino (see second picture in the gallery).

Michael Giacchino is known by his compositions of the movies of Star Trek Reboot, The Incredibles and Inside Out.

Hollywood Reporter says that their sources said that the reshoots this summer were the cause of change. Writer Tony Gilroy had to take on a filmmaker role during the shoot- and postproduction process because Disney and Lucasfilm were looking to clarify the story and ‘tonal issue’ for this movie.

Desplat was no longer available to compose this movie after the reshoots, so that is how Disney and Lucasfilm made their choice to work with Michael Giacchino. The plus side is, Giacchino has a long relationship with the studio and its various divisions.

What is even better about this, Giacchino is such a Star Wars fan! He was even a storm trooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

Star Wars: Rogue One will hit the theatres on December 16! Are you ready for it?
