Jared Leto‘s performance of the Joker in Suicide Squad no doubt blew audiences away and had them wanting more. When news of the solo Batman movie broke, everyone assumed that Leto would return to finally square off with the Dark Knight, however, Warner Bros went in a different direction and decided Deathstroke (Joe Manganiello) would be the better choice. So when, if ever, will Leto resurface in the DCEU?
Rumors began flying back in June that Jared would make a cameo in Justice League when the actor/musician shared a photo to his social media of his trip to London. Why is that important, you ask? Because his trip just so happened to coincide with the film’s production which began in the Spring.
Those rumors seemed to be confirmed when his name was listed as part of the cast set to shoot in Iceland along with Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Willem Dafoe, Amber Heard, J.K. Simmons, and Julian Lewis Jones. However, as of this Tuesday, Twitter user elmayimbe claims those rumors are false.
Considering that an official website/source is not confirming this, I think we should all take it with a grain of salt. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened either. Back in July, it was reported that Ben Affleck might not appear in Suicide Squad because his name was not listed on a media kit along with the rest of the cast, but we all know how that turned out.
Do you believe Leto will make a cameo in Justice League?
