The Cast of ‘Stranger Things’ Reacts to Popular Retro Toys
The young cast of Stranger Things did an amazing job bringing that retro, 80’s vibe to the Netflix mega hit series but, what happens when they are introduced to popular 70’s, 80’s and 90’s toys which they’ve never seen or heard of before? This question is answered in the below adorable clip from Buzzfeed.
Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) and Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) were given retro items to play with and discuss. Starting off with the short lived sensation from 1998, the kids discuss the name and purpose of a furby (not a gremlin, despite how sure Millie Bobby Brown and Caleb McLaughlin sound in the clip).
1983 brought the most awesome fashion accessory, slap bracelets, which have since been banned from many schools. The kids seem to know exactly what to do with these though the bracelets certainly do make striking choker necklaces as well.
Remember Gak from 1992? Of course you do (and the hilarious sounds it made when you put it back into its container)! The kids of Stranger Things however, discovered this amazing blob for the first time and seemed immediately thoroughly amused.
Lastly, the kids try out a classic candy, Pop Rocks (1975). No soda was consumed during the shooting of the Pop Rocks segment. We wonder if they have even heard of that urban legend?
