Gotham Season 3 Premiere Advance Preview

It’s that time of the year again, Pumpkin Spice flavored everything is hitting stores and Gotham is  once again returning for its third season. After the phenomenal ending to the last season, fans were wondering  what “monsters” would be returning and just what is going to happen next. We’ve seen the first episode, and boy is it a doozy.  Throughout the season make sure you check back into our site, generally the week before a new episode as we’ll offer up some (Spoiler Free) hints and thoughts on the upcoming week’s episode.

This week is Season 3,Episode 1 and is titled “Mad City: Better to Rain in Hell”
As we already mentioned, the ending is something everyone was wondering if it would be explored, and just who all escaped.  The Season Premiere picks up 6 months after the Finale. Jim Gordan has now become a bounty hunter of sorts since we last saw him. He gets paid to hunt down the escaped “monsters”,and it’s one of those such encounters that kicks off the premiere that sets the pace in this episode and provides one of my favorite lines of the episode: “Any Chance You’ll Come Quietly?”

Vicki Vale joins the series this season and makes a major splash in her first episode.  She plays a very important role in the story being told  and leaves the impression that she is going to be playing a very important part in the coming season. Bruce Wayne returns from a sabbatical and has a pretty epic “boss” moment in the board room, Lastly, we find out just what lengths the Penguin is willing to go to find Fish Mooney. The fact that she didn’t kill him when she had the chance in the finale does not sit well with Penguin, as he doesn’t like not knowing what her next move is. Speaking of Fish, she is still enjoying her new powers but there is a cost to that power.  You can expect all of this, plus an ending that will having you impatiently waiting for the next episode.

Once again, FOX delivers a strong season opener that has this writer excited for what’s coming next. You can check out the Season Premiere of Gotham yourself Monday, Sept 19 at 8/7c on FOX. Make sure you check back on our site next week, for a look at Episode 2!
