Pokémon Go Plus Wearable Accessory to Launch Next Week

September will be a super hot month or technology lovers!  Not only will the new iPhone 7 and Apple Watch be released this month but, Niantic announced on Thursday that, starting September 16th, a Pokémon Go wearable will also be released that day in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

The wearable will be called Pokémon Go Plus and can be worn on the wrist or clipped on to clothing.  Via Bluetooth technology, the device will alert gamers of nearby appearing Pokémon as well as Pokestops.  Compatible with both iOS and Android, Pokémon Go Plus will flash an LED light and vibrate if a nearby Pokémon appears.  By clicking a button on the Go Plus device, you can even catch them all without looking at your phone!  The device will vibrate and flash a different LED colored light to show the Pokémon has been caught.

It was originally announced in July that the device was in the works but, its release would be delayed until September.  How quickly two months have flown.  The device will retail for $34.99 and could help regain some of Pokémon Go’s long lost players.

What do you think?  Is Pokémon Go Plus a worthwhile addition to the game?  Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
