‘Gotham’ Is Bringing Back Fan Favorite Jerome!

Gotham is starting his third season pretty soon and they have a lot of surprises for us! One character specific, led us to the point that we believed he would be the Joker. When he got killed in season 2, we didn’t really know how to deal with it.

But we must be very lucky, because it seems that Jerome (portrayed by Cameron Monoghan) will be the one that is coming back from the dead too!

Executive producer John Stephens sat down with Zap2It and there he revealed the news we’ve been waiting on for so long.

“It is 100% our intention to bring Jerome back. We’re going to be playing it again this year and basically extending the idea of the cult of Jerome. We’re building the architecture for him to come back.”

But don’t get this wrong, it’s not going to happen all of a sudden. It’s not going to happen too soon. John Stephens said that Jerome’s influence is going to be seen throughout season 3. If I remember correctly, it already started at the end of the episode when he died, where people were laughing while killing each other in a very weird daze.

“You’ll have these underground movements that have started to talk about Jerome and what he represented and how he’s going to come back like in the days of John the Baptist. Setting the stage that if there is a Season 4, hopefully we’ll bring that back in a much bigger way and you’ll see these different versions of the Joker myth.”

So if I guess this right, they’re doing the same thing as they did for Fish Mooney and her return back then. I’m really excited, even though it will take a while until he is fully resurrected, I still think it will be worth the wait! Jerome was a very intense character in the show that everyone liked anyway.

Gotham: Heroes Will Fall will come back on September 19 on Fox!
