Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah Will NOT Be In Season 42 of ‘Saturday Night Live’
So in “what in the world?” news for today SNL vets Jay Pharoah and Taran Killam’s contracts weren’t renewed for the next season of Saturday Night Live. I have to say, I’ve felt a million emotions in the past few years with the departures of Fred Armisen, Jason Sudeikis and Bill Hader. Each one of those guys went on to bigger and better things after and I hope it’s the same for Pharoah and Killam. These two are a few of the most talented actors ever on SNL, and have gone incredibly viral with their impressions.
According to uproxx.com, Killam said that he’s not sure why his contract wasn’t picked up and said this “I was never given a reason why, really.” He had another year in his contract and SNL creator Lorne Michaels did not pick up the final year. He thinks it might be because he’s currently directing the film Why We’re Killing Gunther and that could have taken time away from his work at SNL.
Taran went on Twitter and responded to the news with his great sense of humor.
A big thank you for all the Love from my fans. Lorne was kind enough to understand I needed more time to dedicate to my undefeated @RamsNFL

Below I’ll post two of my favorite sketches that these two shine in. Good luck in the future guys!
