This past weekend, San Diego Comic Con was a treasure trove of trailers and sneak peek footage. While Prison Break won’t be making its return to Fox until 2017, the network brought a new trailer for the show as well as an actual scene from the upcoming series to the trailer party!
The new trailer is basically an extension of the version released earlier this year. There are some new, intense scenes added and they are fueling our excitement even further for the series’ return. Check out the SDCC trailer below:
If that wasn’t enough to get you excited, Fox also released an actual clip from an upcoming episode which shows Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller) doing what he does best; forming a plan to do the impossible.
The clip shows Scofield chatting with a fellow inmate who is clearly afraid for his life. “I don’t think I’ve seen you this scared before,” Scofield says to his fellow inmate.
The inmate responds, “They are going to release all prisoners from solitary back into general population. The worst of the worst…. They are going to kill me, you know. Government gave me 20 years for homosexuality. Those monsters in there, Ramal and his men, won’t let me live 20 minutes. Please tell me you still plan on getting us out of here.”
As the clip continues, we learn that the men attempted to escape from the prison and failed; a failure which Scofield blames on his fellow inmate. Scofield, of course, has a plan and the key to this plan is gum.
Scofield says that piece of gum is, “just like the butterflies wings. This piece of gum is going to start a sequence of events that will finish on the other side of the world.”
Who knew gum could be so impactful! Check out the awesome clip and let us know your thoughts in the comment section below! Prison Break will return to Fox in 2017.
