Most articles you read reporting on entertainment happenings usually end with the clip or trailer the article is about. I wanted to open this article with the trailer…because, why waste time reading words first? This trailer is scary, badass…AND THE DIRECT SEQUEL TO 1999’s THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT.

After years of being disguised as ‘The Woods,’ it was revealed tonight at San Diego Comic Con that the folks over at Lionsgate pulled one over on us all in one of the greatest convention surprises in cinema history. The film horror fans have been hyping for months is indeed the sequel to beloved horror film ‘The Blair Witch Project.’

Directed by Adam Wingard and Written by Simon Barrett, the creative geniuses behind such films as ‘You’re Next‘ and ‘The Guest,’ and starring  James Allen McCune (Shameless), Callie Hernandez (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series), Brandon Scott, Valorie Curry (The Following), Corbin Reid and Wes Robinson.

We at Fan Fest cannot wait to see the film that folks are calling: “a horror game-changer that will completely wreck you.”*. Blair Witch will be released in theaters on September 16. Are you just as excited as we are to see this?

Beauty and the Beast was the first film he can remember seeing as a child. He used to listen to film scores in his front yard and recreate full scenes using only his "imagination." The Goonies is a film he can quote from the opening credits to the end credits. He’s patiently awaiting the day when someone actually captures Sasquatch just so he can prove his parents wrong about what he really saw run across the street one dark and stormy night years ago. In 2008, he had a near death experience/encounter with a moose on the Stampede Trail in Alaska. To this day, he’s trying to adapt it into a full length film.
