The filming for the second installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise may have wrapped up all the way back in June, but writer/director James Gunn continues to answer fan questions about the movie on Twitter.
According to Gunn, Nebula (played by Doctor Who’s Karen Gillan) will play a ‘huge’ role in GOTG Vol. 2.

Nebula’s role was admittedly small in the first GOTG movie, which dealt with only one other villain aside from Nebula. With a possible new villain or two, would Nebula get lost again (like other one-off villains in the MCU) or would Gunn deliver well on his word?
The recurring cast includes: Chris Pratt (Starlord/Peter Quill), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Bradley Cooper (voice of Rocket), Vin Diesel (Groot), Michael Rooker (Yondu), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Sean Gunn (Kraglin), and Glenn Close (Nova Prime).
The newer cast features: Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, and Kurt Russell.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 will premiere in May 5, 2017.
