‘Game of Thrones’ actor reacts to Intense Character Death
Warning! Contains MAJOR spoilers from ‘Battle of the Bastards’
Well, as many Game of Thrones loyalists predicted (and some probably hoped), the diabolically evil Ramsay Bolton was killed off in the most recent Game of Thrones episode ‘Battle of the Bastards’. After being brutally beat until unconscious by Jon Snow, Ramsay awakens and finds himself chained to a chair. After engaging in a banter with Sansa, one of Ramsay’s hounds trots up. In a tale of Man versus Beast, Ramsay is brutally torn apart by his hounds, after they had suffered from not being fed for several days.
When asked if show-runners David Benioff and Dan Weiss gave him the call to reveal Ramsay’s demise, Rheon stated:
“I had received half the scripts, five episodes, then I got the call,” he explained. “They joked, ‘Isn’t it great Ramsay ends up on the Iron Throne?’ As soon as they said that I said, “He’s dead isn’t he?” It’s cool. I’ve had four lovely seasons here. It’s been great to be involved with such an amazing show. I think it’s kind of right he goes down. Because what else is he going to do after this? He’s done so many things. It’s justified and it’s the right thing to do. It’s the right path. He’s reached his peak. It’s nice for the audience that he goes out on this high, if you will.”
