Tom Hiddleston in Talks to Be the Next James Bond
It seems Tom Hiddleston is now in ‘Advanced talks’ to be the next James Bond after news broke that Daniel Craig denied a deal for just one more Bond film, Birth Movies Death reported.
“Choosing words carefully, our source confirms that while talks have indeed taken place, and that Hiddleston very much wants the job, no official offer has been made – yet,” the source stated.
Tom has been the forerunner of speculation to be the next 007 since the next film has been announced.
Hiddleston spoke with the The Guardian recently and said “I’m a huge fan of the series. We all went to see Spectre when we were shooting Skull Island in Hawaii. I simply love the theme tune, the tropes and the mythology. I love the whole thing. If it ever came knocking, it would be an extraordinary opportunity. And I’m very aware of the physicality of the job. I would not take it lightly.” said Tom.
Craig, who has been the token Bond since 2005, turned down the role and told Time Out that he would “rather break this glass and slash my wrists. We’re done. All I want to do is move on, if I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.”
Hiddleston is best known for his role as Loki in the Marvel Universe, but most recently starred in BMC’s The Night Manager and High Rise.
