‘Arrow’ star Stephen Amell prepares fans for Season Finale

The finale of Arrow season 4 promises an epic showdown between super-villain Damien Darhk and hero Oliver Queen, in the midst of a nuclear apocalypse. The finale episode, titled ‘Schism‘, will air on 25 May at 8pm EST on The CW.

Stephen Amell’s says that the finale will  feature a scene which is “really unlike anything we’ve done on the show”.

In an interview with TV Line at the CW Upfronts in New York earlier this week, Stephen prepared fans for the biggest finale on Arrow yet:

“It feels more like a season finale next week as opposed to last year, which almost felt like a little bit of a series finale. But next week’s finale’s good. It has I think a lot of the closure that people are looking for and enough questions and teases for Season 5 that people will be excited. We have a scene that is really unlike anything we’ve ever done on the show, certainly with me as Oliver and not just speaking to the team, but speaking to Star City. We do that a little bit in the premiere where I announce myself as the Green Arrow and there is a bit of a callback to that in the finale and then the next step of that evolution.”

In the same interview, he also discussed how the ending of ‘Lost in the Flood‘ is going to tie into the finale episode. ‘Lost in the Flood’ ended with Damien Darhk storming in on Felicity, Curtis and Donna, demanding that Felicity help him with the next stage of his plan:

“It is different. But in a lot of ways it looks the same. Ironically, the way that that is set up for the finale is very much like it’s gonna be about rescuing Felicity, and that is actually not at all what the episode is about. So for Oliver it’s less about what is he gonna do versus how is he gonna approach it. Like, what is his state of mind gonna be? And we deal with that in feels like the early part of the episode”
