‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Launches Mobile Game
The first ‘Fear the
Walking Dead’ mobile game officially
launched last night after the
season 2 premiere of the
show.
AMC and Versus Evil teamed up to develop
‘Fear the
Walking Dead:
Dead Run’. The game is a black and white tactical
runner app
which allows players to assume
the role of their favorite FTWD
characters while running through post-
apocalyptic Los Angeles and battling
zombies.
The game features familiar backgrounds including the
abandoned
church, high school and
sports arena which fans will recognize from season 1, as
well as more than
40 weapons and special levels that
deliver story-lines
paralleling the events of the TV series.
While
the game’s first episode
is
playable at no cost, additional episodes do require in-app purchases in order
to continue to play. I
downloaded the game last night, after the launch was
announced on
‘Talking Dead’ and can tell you,
it’s pretty addicting
and, I can definitely see myself forking over the
$2.99 for new
episodes.
The game is available now in the iTunes App Store and is playable on iPhone,
iPad, and iPod
touch running
iOS 8.0 or later.
