Harrison Ford to Auction off Han Solo’s “Star Wars” Jacket in honor of daughter with Epilepsy

The legendary, iconic
Star Wars and Indiana Jones
star will be auctioning off
the jacket he wore as Han Solo in
Star Wars: The
Force Awakens
to benefit epilepsy research. Ford’s
daughter, Georgia (25),
has
been living with epilepsy and he has donated the jacket to benefit epilepsy

research.

“I was wearing
it throughout the film,” Ford said, in regards
to the jacket.
Ford
donated the jacket to benefit the NYU
Langone Center and
FACES (Finding A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures), where
his daughter is
currently
being treated.

“I’ve been very impressed
with the work NYU and the FACES team
have done in the field of epilepsy
research, and I hope this jacket will
provide
some means to further that exploration,” Ford said, in an interview.
“This is a
cause that’s near
and dear to me, and unlike the cynical Han Solo, I’ve got a
good feeling
about this.”

The bidding for the iconic
jacket has begun, at IfOnly.com and will end on April
11th. The auction has already

skyrocketed to approximately $31,000. This is an amazing accomplishment for
such
a meaningful
cause!

“We are thrilled and honored to be

supporting such an incredible cause by
featuring a piece of cinematic history,”
says Trevor Traina, CEO of IfOnly.
“We’ve been lucky to support
hundreds of
causes, but this one is even more significant as it is so
personal to
Harrison.”
