‘Supergirl’ Preview ‘Strange Visitor From Another Planet’

Supergirl Preview ‘Strange Visitor From Another Planet”

The next episode of Supergirl finds Kara helping Hank battle a member of the alien race that wiped out his people, a White Martian. It looks totally creepy.

There are two guest stars on the show this week. First, we have Tawny Cypress, who plays Senator Miranda Crane. She is speaking at an anti-alien rally (she especially speaks ill of Supergirl) when she is kidnapped by the white martian. Despite everything, Kara still goes to save her. Things are not as they seem because Crane later attacks Hank after her eyes glow white. Is she also an alien? Was this whole thing to draw Hank/J’onn out? Or is she actually Miss Martian, who, I spoke of earlier, is a white martian that sees the error of her ways and turns into a hero?

Second, Cat’s estranged son, Adam Foster, makes his way to National City. Adam is played by Blake Jenner, who co- starred with Melissa Benoist on Glee. I believe that they are setting him up to be another love interest for Kara. That will just put another nail in Winn’s heart considering all that happened in the previous episode.

DC Comics recently announced “Adventures of Supergirl,” a web comic that will be available on DC’s Digit First Monday, January 25, 2016. The comic will follow Kara through the early days of embracing her true identity. Much like the Arrow and Flash  comics, this will act as supporting material for the main storyline. These are always enjoyable because you see more of the daily dealings of the hero, but also shines a light into the lives of the other characters. I will be interested to see what they do with the comic. A new installment of “Adventures of Supergirl” will be available every otherweek.
