‘The Big Bang Theory’ Recap ‘The Empathy Optimization’
Sheldon is feeling better and no one is happy about it.
He is unappreciative and a big baby when he’s sick. Amy has to explain to him that he is unbearable when he is sick that everyone avoids him, even her. Amy even went out of town for a bit.
The gang wishes they could do more without Sheldon, so they plan a trip to Vegas. Party bus, anyone?
Sheldon is upset that he isn’t invited, so Amy wants him to apologize and work on his empathy. He does and eventually apologizes to Leonard. But when he is still not allowed to go on the trip, he vows to apologize to everyone. He even made t-shirts!
Sheldon is no good at apologies. And when he causes Raj and Emily to fight, he decides not to go to Vegas.
But surprise! Sheldon and Stuart show up on the party bus to apologize to Emily… again. She accepts and invites them to join. When
Sheldon refuses, Emily begins to feel bad for him and Leonard invites the pain in the ass back on again.
Raj pole dances as they head off to Vegas, ending the episode.
This episode was cute but didn’t move the story along. We are still waiting for something to happen as a result of Amy and Sheldon having
sex. And aside from a snide joke from Howard, no one is talking about it. It’s almost like it never happened…
In all honesty this was a good episode, let’s hope that next week’s keeps the story moving.
