‘Supergirl’ Preview ‘Stronger Together’

Supergirl Preview ‘Stronger Together’

In the next episode of Supergirl we should expect more of Kara coming to grips with her superhero persona and
discovering new powers. The villain this week is another prison escapee

Meanwhile, Kara’s boss, Cat Grant, wants to run an expose on Supergirl, and asks James to get an interview with her and write it. He knows Supergirl’s true identity and I wonder how this will play out. James might defy Cat, which could only make things worse for Kara’s secret.

Supergirl is probably going to play up the romance a bit more throughout the series and it is already obvious that there is a love triangle forming between Kara, James, and Winn. In the preview, we see Kara revealing to James and Winn that they both know her true identity. This will probably hurt Winn more because we already know he has feelings for her and felt honored that he knew her identity.

In a season preview, we get a quick glimpse of some of the villains to come, and the one that stands out the most is Red Tornado. In the comics, he is a hero and a member of the Justice League. He is an android that is created by scientist T.O. Morrow for the U.S. Army, but becomes sentient and breaks free to wreak havoc. Red Tornado originally has connections to General Sam Lane, father of Lois and Lucy Lane. General Lane is not a fan of the Supers, so I wonder if this will set up future conflict. Red Tornado will be played by Iddo Goldberg, who has appeared on Salem. He is slated to appear in episode 6.

Speaking of the Lanes, Lucy is supposed to arrive in National City in episode 4. In the preview, James talks about his previous relationship with Lucy, so our love triangle might just grow into a love rectangle.

Supergirl had a really great start, and the preview for the remainder of the series shows that the action is only going to ramp up. I am excited to see how things progress.

Episode 2 premieres Monday, November 2 at 8:00/9:00 pm ET/PT on CBS.
